In 2016, I had the opportunity to interview one of Hope For The Warriors’ very first Military Spouse and Caregiver Scholarship recipients, a Gold Star spouse who we assisted in her journey of achieving her doctorate in audiology. She shared the first line of her application essay:

You Serve Too! I’ve been a military spouse for six years, and in many ways, I know we’ve been incredibly blessed. My husband is on full-time orders as a recruiter, which has allowed us to stay in Upstate New York for the entirety of our marriage.

Hope For The Holidays
The holiday season is a time of reflection, connection, and celebration, and at Hope For The Warriors, our team has a rich tapestry of traditions that make this time of year special.
Many people can experience stress and anxiety leading up to a holiday, making some holidays less enjoyable. Expectations come with the holidays, such as buying a gift or attending a party. We are often asked to spread ourselves thin, trying to make everyone else happy for the holidays.
It’s time for a change. In both the military and police departments, the old ways of thinking are no longer enough to tackle today’s mental health challenges.
While September marks National Suicide Prevention Month, suicide prevention is an ongoing mission at Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) and we serve our community every day of the year.
