National Blood Donor Month

The Armed Services Blood Program – also known as the Military Blood Program – is the official military provider of blood products to U.S. armed forces.

As a joint operation among the military services (Army, Navy, Air Force), the ASBP:

  • Provides quality blood products for service members, veterans and their families in both peace and war.
  • Collects, processes, stores, distributes, and transfuses blood worldwide.
  • Works closely with our civilian counterparts in times of need.

Can I Donate Blood to ASBP?

ASBP is regulated by Food and Drug Administration guidelines to maintain the  safety and quality of blood products. We are held to the same standards and  requirements as civilian collection agencies, and along with them, receive  accreditation by the Association for Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies.

Blood product safety is our number one concern!

*For specific questions or concerns about eligibility and deferrals reach out to your local ASBP donor center contact for additional information.

The Gift of Military Life: Why I Feel Lucky to Be a Military Spouse

I never imagined that one day I would be standing at the crossroads of challenge and opportunity, wearing the title of “military spouse” and feeling lucky. Yet, here I am, an Army wife of almost 12 years, married to a soldier, raising four incredible children (ages 10, 8, 6, and 4), and homeschooling them as we navigate the ever-changing journey of military life.

Mission: Milspouse is a
