A week ago, I made a very special purchase. I was able to buy my very own pair of Christian Louboutin heels. I bought them for about $100 at a consignment shop used but in new condition and I deserve them!
Self-Image is a Journey
I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching this past year (well three years, rather) when it comes to self-image. I’ve been relearning how to love myself the way I am. Scratch that: I do love myself the way I am! But that’s now. Getting to where I am right now, feeling more confident and happy with my self-image, took some time.
Spring and Seasonal Cleaning
Spring is finally has finally made an appearance dear readers! The time of new starts and fresh beginnings! If any of you are like me, spring means cleaning, purging closets of unwanted clothes, and taking time to reconnect with myself and crack down on wellness.
Is It Me?
I have a tough time trying to connect. Is it me?
We’ve been at our new duty station for about a year and three months. Let me start by saying that I love our home, and I love having all the space I need in our home. The area is nice, but being stationed in a remote area makes me miss having a military community nearby. I say that because we all know that, no matter what, you can find a few friends with a common interest. You can spend time together and have fun and get to know a person fully and without judgment.
New Year, New Plans
Tis the season to be making some growth (moves). As the New Year draws closer and closer, we all gear up to make New Year’s resolutions and map out personal goals for the year. It’s always so hard to classify each goal by priority and time length. I, personally, struggle with finding the right length of time for each goal, and laying the groundwork for a long-term goal.
Food For Thought
When was the last time you truly connected with yourself? When was the last time you took a few moments to remember what makes you, you? We as humans need to take time (even if it’s just five minutes) to connect with our souls and remember what makes us genuine and unique. It’s a little bit of food for thought for all of us because it’s hard to focus on that part of ourselves at times when we’re wrapped up in so many other things and/or focusing our energy somewhere else.
