A Personal Account of My Life with Two Children

A Personal Account of My Life with Two Children

Motherhood is never easy. I thought I was struggling with just the one kid at first. I wasn’t very confident in my “mommy skills” and felt as if I was messing up constantly. I was a new parent, but I felt as if I should have been doing more.

Understanding Love Languages

Understanding Love Languages

I want like to talk about something near and dear to my heart: Love Languages.

Love Languages come from the popular book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman and are described as how we receive love from others, focusing on the little things that make your heart and soul sing. It’s a topic my friends and I talk about often via text, and over time, I’ve started to become more curious about the love languages of others.

Benefits of Doing My Own Baby Products Research

I am expecting my second son sometime this January. I do have a due date, but let’s face it—babies come when they want to, whether it be early or late. I thankfully have a few things leftover from my first baby boy, along with friends and family giving me some hand-me-downs.

If you are like me and received a ton of hand-me-downs, you want to have a little something new (or at least new to you) for a change. I have had friends and family ask me about a registry, but truthfully, I have not made one for this baby, and I honestly don’t think I need to make one. The only reason I’d make one is so I could get the gift box!

Mommy Blues: Can I Get a Connection?

Mommy Blues: Can I Get a Connection?

Being a full-time mom is the greatest gift I could ask for. Some days may be hard, but generally, it turns around for the better. What no one seems to want to acknowledge is how lonely it is. In my case, feeling a bit extra lonely since my family just moved to a new area.

The house is beautiful and in a great location. The big plus about the property is that my husband and son enjoy living in the woods with land to run and play as much as they want. As for me, I prefer to have some friends to talk to other than my husband and toddler.

PCS and Stress: A Personal Journey

PCS and Stress: A Personal Journey

It’s that wonderful time of year where we are told to move at the U.S. Army’s behest to a new area. As exciting as it is to move to a new area, it can also be overwhelming and scary. In my opinion, the most overwhelming part about PCSing is the packing!

Trying to stay organized during this time is stressful, especially when a toddler and pregnancy is added into the mix. The good news is that my family and I have a little more time to PCS than last time. The bad news is that we must do a DITY move.
