Finding a Battle Buddy: Part 1
One absolute necessity for making it through this roller coaster ride we call military life is meeting our battle buddies. These are the friends who, no matter what else is happening, will drop whatever they’re doing to help you out. These are the friends that you can call (and who can call you) at any time of the day or night just to talk to you or keep you from banging your head against the wall (much).

You are probably tired of hearing the word “budget,” and how Congress is handling our nation’s money, and how the budget cuts will be affecting us as military families. The future feels very uncertain, and we might feel out of control if this is where we mainly put our focus.
Our 5th Homecoming
I am, what I guess you would call, a “seasoned spouse.” We have been an Army family for quite a while. It seems like only yesterday that I was sending my husband off for his first deployment. I was young, scared, and pregnant with our first child. I’m a little older now, but I am still learning new things every day about this military life.
