At the very beginning of my dating journey with my husband, I took a lot of what I experienced as a military child to mind. The lifestyle wasn’t new to me. I understood (for the most part) what the life entailed, and I still went along with it. Despite knowing the everchanging environment, I thought that being a military child was enough to get my through it.
I was wrong.
I am The Perfect Mom.

What happens when you make a big change, everything is going along great, and you feel better than you have in years, then you think to yourself…
“This doughnut won’t hurt.”
Employment gaps have plagued military spouses over the decades and prevented many of them from securing employment. This issue alone has left many very qualified military spouses either unemployed or underemployed. Equipped with the right resume and armed with the tips below, every military spouse can land that next job!

This month wasn’t the best month ever by any stretch of the imagination. I had my own personal struggles that, frankly, I’m still dealing with. However, I still managed to find something I’m thankful for every single day. I? Deserve a cookie.
For much of the world, the “war” is winding down. Military budgets are being slashed to make way for more immediately apparent domestic demands. More and more medals are being awarded to heroes for actions taken in a conflict that is quickly fading from public awareness.
Except in my home and the homes of thousands of military families.
In my home, we are living the emotional roller coaster that is the stages of pre-deployment. Not familiar with these stages? In many ways, they mimic the stages of grief.
