This holiday season on Army Wife Network, we are sharing a few of our favorite things.
Our Blog
Fast fact: Our blog will publish it’s 3000th (yes, you read that right!) blog post in 2023. All of the content is brought to you by empowered experience volunteer bloggers and insightful expert bloggers. You name a topic that a military spouse or organization could write about, we’ve probably got it. Current topics include PCS, deployment, parenting, finances, solidarity, humor, milspouse experiences, expert advice, and more. And if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always join us as a blogger to share your story!
Making Your Home a School and School a Home
Last month we explored reasons why one would home school or public school. I stated, “Both experiences [home and school] could bring together learning and living as defined by your family’s passions and vision.” It is important, for me, that we all know that regardless of A or B, we do not LOSE and should not GIVE OVER control of our children’s education.
How to Get Your Security Deposit Back
Sadly there are times that the relationship between a landlord and tenant does not end on good terms, and you may need to take action against your landlord in order to get your security deposit back. What do you do if you moved out on good terms and have yet to receive your refund check?
The Art of Gratitude
You’ve probably observed that your social media feed is inundated with touching expressions of thankfulness. Perhaps you’ve even penned a few words of gratitude yourself.
Online Education: Ideal for Military Spouses?
I don’t know about you, but when I dreamt of going to college as a teenager I pictured a beautiful campus, lots of big textbooks, and a professor (usually in tweed) at the front of the classroom. I barely imagined the possibility of having a computer of my own let alone taking classes completely online, but that’s where we are today—and online education is here to stay!
What You Didn’t See: Fort Knox Field Exercise
Did you attend the Fort Knox Field Exercise (or any other Field Exercise)? If you did, I’m guessing you had a ton of fun, because I know I did. It was time away from the family and gave us all that much-needed “me” time. There were laughs, lots of amazing prizes, and things you may have never heard of, like Flat Daddy or Wire-A-Cake.
But here’s what you didn’t see.
