PCS

If you are PCSing this year, then you’ve come to the right place!

Here at Mission: Milspouse, we’ve faced our fair share of relocations, DITYs, government moves, overseas stints, and everything in between. We’ve been there and done that, and we have the stickers to prove it.

With all that experience, we know how stressful it can be. Packing and loading mean moving all of your belongings—special things, irreplaceable things—and none of us really want things broken or damaged. While we can’t ensure there won’t be casualties of PCS, we can help you prepare to make the move a little smoother.

Check out all of our blog post pertaining to all things PCS. Get ready for some practical tips AND insight into experiences of those who have been there, moved that.

10 Ideas for PCS Decorating Inspiration

A PCS is the perfect excuse to start planning for the next house. Envisioning a new couch, picking out the perfect paint color, and choosing fresh bed linens is just the beginning of the process. There’s no shortage of excitement surrounding each detail it takes to personalize your upcoming home with decorating inspiration.

Her magical ways (or so people swear) of decluttering your home have led to an overflow of donations at the local thrift store—just what we need in the middle of a PCS purge.

Tidy Up for PCS with the KonMari Method

If you’ve paid any attention to social media over the last few months, then you’ve probably seen numerous references to the Netflix show “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.”

And with good reason.

The KonMari Method, developed by Marie Kondo when she was a 19-year-old college student, is a helpful way to get a room or your entire house in order. Perfect for those who want to have an organized home, but doubly useful for those of us who find themselves moving every two or three years. Because seriously, how do we accumulate so much stuff?
