Many of you may have tuned in last Sunday for National Geographic’s premiere of the two-hour special, Inside Combat Rescue: The Last Stand. I was recently invited by National Geographic to represent Army Wife Network at a press junket event at Moody Air Force Base prior to the documentary’s television premiere.
Veterans
Your family was once “one of us,” but now you are in the civilian world. You wonder, do you still have a place in the military community? The answer is a loud resounding yes! You are always family to us.
We know there are memories, scars, and lessons that you still carry with you every day. There are also a ton of resources to which you have access now that you are officially a “Veteran.” We want to be sure you know how to utilize those resources best. Check out this page to read more about career help, veteran organizations, special events, and opportunities unique to veterans.
From everyone here at Mission: Milspouse we thank you and honor you for your time in service.
An Inside Look into “Inside Combat Rescue: The Last Stand”
National Geographic brought us to Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia, to spend some time with two elite Air Force units featured in the special. Valdosta is located in Southern Georgia, just a couple of minutes from the Florida line. Valdosta became the home of Moody Air Field in 1942. Known today as Moody AFB, it is home to about 8,200 military service members and their families, as well as 375 civilian employees who work on the base.

Today’s column focuses on the third of the three: you must research a company before an interview.
Interview Etiquette: 14 Steps to Success
The rules of etiquette in a job search deal with behavior. Certain behaviors are expected and others may or may not be acceptable, depending on the circumstances. When we combine the expected behaviors with common sense and common courtesy, we end up with a useful interview checklist.
Breaking Molds
