Confession: When I get stressed, I want to eat.
I’m a non-discriminatory stress eater—anything goes.
And yes, I know that emotional eating isn’t the healthiest habit on the planet (I’ve been working on it and making great progress for years!). But sometimes, just one little piece of chocolate can be the difference between developing an eye twitch or keeping calm and soldiering on.
Although we would love to send you all a box of chocolates (or, if I had my choice, a bag of Dove chocolates), logistically that proves a problem. Mainly because that would be a huge temptation to have that much chocolate under my roof for distribution, but also the shipping costs, and imagine how left out the mail carrier would feel if he or she smelled the chocolate and couldn’t have any?
So, we are trying to do the next best thing with this free printable. First of all, thank you for engaging with us here at AWN. It means a lot to us. So much that we might consider sharing our bag of Dove chocolate with you.
Secondly, while we can’t send you real chocolate, sometimes a piece of well-timed encouragement is just what we need. So please enjoy this poem we wrote just for you. Print it off by clicking the hyperlink, frame it, give it to a friend or new milspouse, put it in your journal as a reminder, whatever fits you best.
Dear Army Wife
It is our gift to you. Thanks for supporting our mission to engage, educate, encourage, and empower.
Keep calm and chocolate on!
