he pause in the moving schedule is pushing PCS stress up a few levels; the unknowns certainly outnumber the definitives. On the bright side, however, remains the excitement and anticipation of furnishing your next house. These feelings don’t change due to an extended schedule. Just the thought of moving into a new home with fresh possibilities is enough to get the Pinterest searches revving into overdrive.
While the extra time staying put isn’t ideal, it can provide an opportunity to focus on what your family really needs and wants to be comfortable and productive at home.
In 2016, I had the opportunity to interview one of Hope For The Warriors’ very first Military Spouse and Caregiver Scholarship recipients, a Gold Star spouse who we assisted in her journey of achieving her doctorate in audiology. She shared the first line of her application essay:
“A regular day that began as seemingly innocuous was the day that all of my life’s goals went out the window. It was the day that my husband died.”
