Yesterday afternoon, I stopped at the commissary to grab some things, when I found myself in the health and beauty aisle. Without thinking, I grabbed my husband’s brand of body wash, popped it open, and inhaled deeply. The next thing I knew, I was clutching that bottle with tears running down my face. I rushed out of the aisle and quickly paid for my purchases.
There’s hurricane season, tornado season, blizzard season, the list goes on. We are blasted with reminders everywhere, especially within our military communities.

I received an email from my first grader’s music teacher requesting that all the children who have family members overseas this Christmas bring a photo to the Holiday Music program and hold up the picture while they sing Bring Him Home, Santa.

Are my e-mails and/or letters to my husband being read? Seriously, I’m not trying to sound paranoid, but someone from his ship told me they were. I’d just like to know, if this is common practice, and if so, why.
