A Year of Thanks: July

A Year of Thanks: July

I am in the midst of PCSing! Woo hoo! (Who would have thought I would be so excited to head back to Fort Rucker, Alabama? After three years in Korea, they could have sent us anywhere not in Korea and I would have been thrilled.) Because I am PCSing, I thought I’d go a different route this month, and list the 30 websites I’m thankful for.

I’m Thankful For My Milspouse Mom

At the very beginning of my dating journey with my husband, I took a lot of what I experienced as a military child to mind. The lifestyle wasn’t new to me. I understood (for the most part) what the life entailed, and I still went along with it. Despite knowing the everchanging environment, I thought that being a military child was enough to get my through it.

I was wrong.

It’s me, again! Tired of me yet? No, you can’t be, because I’m amazing.

This month wasn’t the best month ever by any stretch of the imagination. I had my own personal struggles that, frankly, I’m still dealing with. However, I still managed to find something I’m thankful for every single day. I? Deserve a cookie.

I started this year of thanks in January, and let me tell you, trying to find something you are thankful for every single day, even when you are having a bad day is tough.  That sounds really bad, but it’s true. You try it!

I told you in December that I am going to write down every day something for which I am thankful. What I found interesting about this project so far is that there are many things I appreciate. I’m not sure if it’s sinking into my kid’s brain, but hey, I tried!
