Something a Little “Supernatural”

Something a Little “Supernatural”

Halloween is so close I can taste it. It’s not my most favorite of holidays, but there is something about it that is near and dear to my heart. Now, I am going to be a fangirl and sound a little bit obsessed, but I literally cannot help myself. It was only a matter of time before I decided to blog about this, but given the wonderful month of October, I think this post’s subject matter is quite appropriate and perfect considering.

Take Control of Your Health this October

Take Control of Your Health this October

While most people look forward to October for Halloween and the changing of seasons, apple picking, fall baking, or what have you, I embrace October as a great and powerful reminder that life is fleeting and meant to be lived to the fullest.

In our house, Breast Cancer Awareness Month has always been important. When I was small, my maternal grandmother was diagnosed and passed away from a second and very long battle with breast cancer. Years later, my paternal grandmother developed and battled breast cancer multiple times, until it finally took her life last year.

8 Scrumptious Summer Snacks

8 Scrumptious Summer Snacks

If you’re like me, you may be trying to prolong the warm nights, barbecues with new friends, and suntans as long as possible. Lucky for me, Alabama stays warm for quite some time after August ends, so our summer weather is here to stay for a bit longer. Why not help it last longer with some scrumptious summer snacks?

I’m Thankful For My Milspouse Mom

I’m Thankful For My Milspouse Mom

At the very beginning of my dating journey with my husband, I took a lot of what I experienced as a military child to mind. The lifestyle wasn’t new to me. I understood (for the most part) what the life entailed, and I still went along with it. Despite knowing the everchanging environment, I thought that being a military child was enough to get my through it.

I was wrong.

My (Sort of) New Year’s Resolutions

My (Sort of) New Year’s Resolutions

I don’t do resolutions on New Year’s Day, just like I don’t always buy presents at Christmas. Resolutions (or goals, or improvements, or plans) are made in my life when they’re relevant, not on some randomly determined date. I get gifts for people when I see something that makes me think, “Oh! So-and-so would love that!” Those moments rarely coincide with a birthday or Christmas. People who know me know this about me.
