As a military family, one of the biggest life challenges we face comes during a permanent change of station (PCS).
One of my favorite parts of the process is getting the keys to our new-to-us house, usually after weeks of traveling or living out of a suitcase in a hotel.
Remember that saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words?” Well, I think it’s true. I was recently privileged to attend The National Memorial Day Concert in Washington, D.C., and today, I want to share some of the most photogenic moments.
It’s no secret that military spouse life is full of surprises: the constant changing of the no-plan plans, PCSes that end up a little bit backward, and even small day-to-day experiences we encounter. One thing I’ve learned through the years is that all milspouse experiences can change us, usually for the better, be they big or small.
And recently, I had one of those very life-changing experiences: I attended The National Memorial Day Concert in Washington, D.C.
As summer turns to fall, it seems like the world gets ready to go back to school. When was the last time you joined in the back-to-school excitement for your own education, not just as a support to children or a spouse? If getting or finishing an education has been on your bucket list, there’s no time like the present to hit the books and accomplish your dreams.
It’s an age-old dilemma. You need to earn more money, but to do that you need to get a better job. In order to get a better job, you need to go back to school. But to go back to school, you need to be able to pay for tuition. In order to pay tuition, you need to earn more money.
So how do you overcome this particular dilemma?
