Yet, when it comes to securing meaningful employment, they face unique barriers: frequent relocations, résumé gaps, licensing hurdles, and underemployment, despite holding college degrees and valuable professional experience.
Recognizing this reality, Hire Heroes USA created the Serving Spouses program to tackle these challenges head-on.
What is the Serving Spouses program?
Launched in 2018, Serving Spouses is a dedicated career-coaching initiative tailored to the needs of military spouses. At Hire Heroes USA, we recognize that all military spouses need support, including spouses of active-duty, National Guard, Reserve, Gold Star, and veteran service members.
Free Services include:
- One-on-One Professional Mentorship with a Transition Specialist
- A Professionally Revised Resume
- LinkedIn / Networking Assistance
- Interview Preparation Guidance to include Mock Interviews
- Access to Workshops, Webinars, and Events
- A Job Board
- Federal Resume Help
- Virtual Career Fairs
- Targeted Industry / Job Mentorship (Hire Heroes USA has a volunteer core of over 1,500 industry experts)
- Lifelong access—spouses can return for support at any point, even after another PCS.
These services are provided at no cost, thanks to Hire Heroes USA’s nonprofit funding model.
