Access to Spouse and Children’s Health Records

One of the questions frequently asked of our representatives is, “May I see my spouse and children’s health records via the Secure Patient Portal?”

Spouse – You may not see your spouse’s health record data.

Children – Depending on the type of health data, you may see it up to a certain age. State and federal laws protect the privacy of individuals age 12 and older.

Limits are below:

Laboratory Results

    • Under the age of 12 for Chemistry
    • Under the age of 12 for Microbiology
    • Under the age of 12 for Anatomic Pathology

Results for Coronavirus and Influenza lab tests are an exception. Results will display for your children 12-17.

Other Areas:

  • Medications – under the age of 12
  • Radiology Results – under the age of 12
  • Immunizations – under the age of 18
  • Problem List – under the age of 12
  • Encounters – under the age of 12
  • Documents – under the age of 12
  • Vitals – under the age of 18

You may ask for a hardcopy of personal health data for children age 12-17 by visiting the military hospital or clinic.
