I’m currently back in my home state of Indiana, visiting with family. My husband is PCSing to Korea next month, (you can read more about that here), and we decided a visit home was incredibly overdue. So far, we get to come back to the Midwest about once a year, so it’s always nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of installation living every now and again.
The Final Decision
A few months ago, my husband I found out he was going to PCS to Korea. (You can read a little bit more about that here.) We struggled with whether or not I should go with him or stay behind. After all, if you go to Korea with your spouse and are able to get command sponsorship, your time there extends from one year to two (or longer). Though if you go non-command sponsored you are there for just a year, but it is a much more expensive choice.
Spring Cleaning: Donate, Recycle, Repurpose
April is a wonderful time of the year in Washington. The grass starts to get greener and long enough to cut. The rainy days start to slow down, and the sun has a greater presence. I get to start planning what flowers I want to plant in my porch garden and look forward to spending more time outside. Spring is definitely in full swing in the Pacific Northwest. One thing that comes along with this renewal is spring cleaning, and clearing out the clutter and lifting some of the weight away from your shoulders and your life.
Do I Stay, or Do I Go?
My husband has been in the Army nearly 10 years. Sometimes I can’t believe he’s already this far into his career or that so much time has passed so quickly. Throughout the years, we’ve lived in various places across America: Hawaii, Virginia, Washington. Aside from Hawaii, he has managed to avoid an OCONUS assignment—until now. Do I stay, or do I go?
Embrace the Future
Can you believe we’re already days away from 2015? Neither can I! It seems like this year has flown by, and now that it’s practically behind me, I’m starting to look ahead for what the new year will bring, and trying to embrace the future.
Something a Little “Supernatural”
Halloween is so close I can taste it. It’s not my most favorite of holidays, but there is something about it that is near and dear to my heart. Now, I am going to be a fangirl and sound a little bit obsessed, but I literally cannot help myself. It was only a matter of time before I decided to blog about this, but given the wonderful month of October, I think this post’s subject matter is quite appropriate and perfect considering.
