The new year has been rung in, and the resolutions are in full effect. I have made my resolutions for a better and improved Amanda in 2015. I have also made a list of resolutions I know I won’t be keeping. I would love to keep these wonderful resolutions, but I won’t, and that is perfectly and wonderfully okay.
Making Change Stick: Realistic = Sustainable
The new year is officially underway, and I don’t know about you, but for me, there is nothing like being wrapped in the cocoon of winter to make a person contemplate the change spring can bring.
I think most people I know have gotten the idea out of their head that somehow, magically, on January 1 they would be able to make resolutions which would carry them through the next 12 months.
The 5 Best National Parks for Family Trips
Depending on where you live, there’s a good chance you won’t have to leave the state to find a super low-cost, amazing vacation spot. I’m talking about our national parks, most of which offer a range of activities, from just plain fun, to educational, to knock-your-socks-off gorgeous hikes in nature. Whether you’re planning to spend your whole vacation in one place or want to explore several locations, the National Park Foundation and the National Park Service can help you find a park that suits your needs.
A Year of Thanks: December
This is it, folks. It’s been exactly one year since I started giving thanks for one thing every single day. This all started because my son had a penchant for complaining. We talk all the time about what we’re thankful for, and writing this blog provided a lot of perspective.
It’s been a great year, and I look forward to seeing how 2015 develops.
5 Apps to Get You Organized

A Year of Thanks: November
I can’t believe how fast this year has blown by. This is my favorite time of year, because everyone seems more giving, forgiving, and willing to give thanks. There’s something in the air. Recapping the year, you can check out January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October.
