One of my favorite scenes in the movie Tommy Boy is when Tommy is coming back to his hometown after graduating from college. His buddy, Richard, is picking him up at the airport and gives Tommy a little grief about how long it took Tommy to get his degree. Tommy says, “You know, a lot of people go to college for seven years.” Richard replies, “Yeah, they’re called doctors.”

Penny for Your (Wedding) Thoughts
The day I purchased my wedding dress, I was alone.
My husband had dropped me off at a local bridal shop, I marched to the section with my size, spent several minutes perusing the selection, chose two dresses, tried each on, and strolled out of the store 30 minutes later.
I did not have my bridesmaids, mother, or mother-in-law with me (although they had previously attended dress scouting trips).
10 Motivational Milspouse Mottos
We live in a world where slogans and mottos rule the roost. It is the way that companies, politicians, and organizations create their brand and subsequently promote it.
Don’t believe me? Test out your motto knowledge with the following (I bet you get most, if not all, of them correct on the first try.)
4 Reasons to Join the Back-to-School Fun
As summer turns to fall, it seems like the world gets ready to go back to school. When was the last time you joined in the back-to-school excitement for your own education, not just as a support to children or a spouse? If getting or finishing an education has been on your bucket list, there’s no time like the present to hit the books and accomplish your dreams.
State of the Uterus Address
Brandi and I have been friends for nearly two decades now. We joke that we are each other’s “oldest” girlfriend, so we can pretty much talk about anything. She is a passionate gal and a fellow blogger. Recently, she posted something on Facebook that really got me thinking, which blossomed into a conversation that we now dub “State of the Uterus.”
I don’t know what the deal is, but some people, both inside and outside the military spouse circle, don’t seem to have boundaries or discretion on some personal discussion topics.
10 Ways To Face the World When You Don’t Want To
Even the most positive people among us experience feeling down and discouraged at times due to personal circumstances or events in the world that affect us collectively. Judging from the news reports, the world has seemingly descended into chaos on more days than not.
Even if we try to avoid the news reports and images, our social media newsfeeds are often filled with opinions and rants about anything and everything imaginable.
