Clean Room = Clean heart

I’ve heard the saying “A clean room is a clean heart”. I’ve always related to this for loads of reasons. Mental health is inherently tied to this. I’ve always valued having my own space.

All my life, I’ve always shared a room with someone.

Whether it was my younger brother, a random roommate at college, or a friend of mine. I’ve been lucky enough to have roommates who aren’t complete monsters, but I’ve also had some kinda crummy ones that weren’t the best.

As the other, old saying goes, “beggars can’t be choosers”, after all.

If you’re lucky enough to have a room, roommate or not, give it a look.

Where can you clean it up?

How can you clean it up?

How does your room look right now?

When I was younger, I used to have so much stuff all over my room in the most random and crazy places.

I would stack up books and graphic novels and various bits of homework and handouts I had gotten from school.

There was no order to all of this madness.

It took some time, but I finally organized a lot of it, and ever since, I felt a lot better.

The roommate that I have right now is pretty messy and not easy to live with, but he’s one of my best friends, so I kinda have to live with it.

In a couple of months, I’ll have my own room finally at home, and that will be really fun. I have a huge plan for it too, I want to get the big TV I had at college. It’s in my basement right now, but I want to bring it up and set up a huge TV center.

I want to have friends over to watch movies and shows and listen to music. I want to get a bookshelf to show off all the books I have. It’ll also be nice to finally feel a bit more organized.

Again, I’ve always felt great when the space I live in is organized and neat.

Now, it’s a bit tough because my roommate is super messy and all over the place.

But again, you can only control so much. Once I have a place of my own, it’ll be completely different. I hope my reflection on my living inspires you to take your room organization more seriously.

I know it’s goofy, but believe me, cleaning up the place where you sleep will do wonders for you.

Give it a try, and get back to me as to how it affected you.

Make a day of it. It might even be fun, who knows?

Happy reorganizing!
