On today’s extra special episode, we’ll listen to an interview conducted by Director of Content – Kathleen Palmer as she chats with our very own Executive Director, Dr. Sharita Knobloch.
Mission: MilSpouse is preparing to wrap up our 18th year on the air and gearing up for our well-deserved holiday break. (But don’t worry: We will be starting back up with our 19th season in 2024).To commemorate the occasion, we will hear from our current Mission: Milspouse Executive Director, Dr. Sharita Knobloch as she shares her own seasonal farewell with us.
After nearly 10 years serving with Mission: Milspouse in various capacities, she has announced that her season with the organization is coming to a close. Sharita has been married to her beloved infantryman husband for 13 years. She holds a Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling: Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. Sharita is a mama of a 10-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy. Also in their Fort Bliss household is a geriatric, almost 13-year-old dog and three-legged escape artist desert box turtle. Sharita is a CrossFitter, aspiring runner, pun-maker, writer, speaker, and spiritual leadership coach. In 2020, she was named Armed Forces Insurance Fort Bliss Military Spouse of the Year.
Professionally, Sharita is a Dissertation Chair at Liberty University Online in the Department of Community Care and Counseling, where she coaches and mentors doctoral students as they strive to become #NotThatKindOfDoctor. She gets really excited about office supplies and journal shopping, is a certified auctioneer, overuses hashtags on a regular basis with #NoShame, and frequently uses #America! as a verb.
