Random Acts of Kindness: What Will You Do?

You probably don’t know this, but there is something special going on in February besides Valentine’s Day.

In fact, it isn’t even a special day, but rather, a special week.

What, you might ask?

It is Random Acts of Kindness Week.

What will you be doing? Will you choose to celebrate?

Committing random acts of kindness has become somewhat of a trend as of late.

Personally, I don’t think we need a week to remind us that we should do right by others. We should take the time now and again to do something kind to lift someone’s spirits or put a smile on someone’s face. We should always want to do that! We should strive to be that kind of person. We should also pass that on to our children. Our children should know the importance of giving back and be able to show compassion and kindness.

So let this week be the start to something bigger. Need some ideas to get you started? Check out our list below! We got you started with 15 ideas. Add to our list by sharing your ideas for random acts of kindness in the comments below!

Make a CD for someone like an elderly person or grandparent of all their favorite music.

I had no idea there was such a week but I’m glad I know now! 😀 I think you are right, people should not have to be reminded to do the right thing – but sometimes people do need the encouragement!

Pay toll or buy coffee for the person in line behind you. It’s a great feeling. Thank you for the service you and your family provide to our country. Please PM me your address. You and your family are my random act of kindness recipient this week. I’m not a creepy. I found you via Pinterest. I can’t wait to get my gift in the mail to you, especially to a military family. I lost my fiancé in Desert Storm.
