As military spouses, we often hear “You knew what you were getting into.” In reality, it doesn’t matter if you were a military brat or had any other connection to the military before marriage, nothing can fully prepare you for this life.
When I became a military spouse in the late 1990s, I wore the label, “military spouse” with pride, and that is still true today.
Most of us harbor interests, passions, and dreams that rarely see the light of day. They lie dormant within us, beneath piles of obligations and expectations.
Change is inevitable as are the seasons. When we apporaoch each season looking for gifts, we will be rewarded with stregnth, opportunity, and faith.
While September marks National Suicide Prevention Month, suicide prevention is an ongoing mission at Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) and we serve our community every day of the year.
I know it’s just not just school-aged children saying it. Most likely, it’s many teachers too. Maybe even a few parents. “I don’t want to go back to school!”
