The interview process is a critical step in securing your dream job. To excel in interviews, preparation and creativity is key.
Discovering Monterey, California
Monterey delighted us. This town of 29,000 people has the attractions and shopping of a city of 200,000. I came as a teenager with my family over 20 years ago and have always wanted to share the aquarium with my children. This visit we lounged at the Lover’s Point Inn (10% off with military ID http://www.loverspointinnpg.com/) with great rooms a two-minute walk from the beach – try the Mermaid Beach House if you want something extra special and have the space of a home.
An Imperfect Marriage
There are no perfect marriages out there. You may think that your friends have the perfect marriage, but guess what?
You’re wrong.
They still have conflict, but they figured out how to deal with it in a way that doesn’t tear the marriage or relationship apart.

How Friends Impact Your Life and Health
I’m an introvert by nature and was a very shy kid. The moves of military life forced me to learn how to connect and make friends. Believe me, I really had to learn how to do that—it didn’t come naturally.
I read books to learn. Books are my go-to answer for everything. I interviewed many military spouses to share what worked for them. When we ask any military spouse who has been through a deployment or other challenge of military life, “What helped you get through that time?” we always hear, “My friends, my battle buddies.” Spouses who have the hardest time with military life are those isolated by circumstances or who choose to isolate themselves. Research shows isolation can lead to depression. Plus it’s a dream-killer.
5 Tips to Protect Those Who Depend on You
Talking about life insurance can be difficult. It’s a heavy topic in both its financial and emotional implications; after all, life insurance is about trying to protect the financial secret of those who depend on you after you’re gone.
Once you realize why having life insurance is important, the next step is actually purchasing it. While the process can seem overwhelming, these five tips can help make your life insurance purchase decisions easier.
