Health & Fitness

Even under the best of circumstances, striking a balance between “real life” and focusing on health and fitness is no easy task. Fold in military spouse life, and it kicks that challenge up a notch!

This category will give you insight from a milspouse perspective, including workouts, celebrating victories (large and small), and how to put your health as a priority, no matter what milspouse life throws your way.

Trust us. These great resources will make you “sit-up” and take notice. Don’t “weight” too long or “waist” any time.  “Run” through these blogs. We are serious. “Jump” to it.

PS: Don’t skip leg day.

The Transition To a New Sense of Self

The new year is here, and once again, the plans are being made. It’s possible for you to make a difference in your life through your personal fitness goals, but you have to make the commitment to yourself.

We overburden our hearts and our minds, with guilt, negativity, expectations (sometimes unrealistic or out of our control), or worries or pain about our past.

How much are you carrying around inside your head that you will never have the power to change?

The Journey Ahead

The Journey Ahead

This year has had many changes and challenges, and I never anticipated the journey ahead.

I had my second baby, and along with that came extra weight. I was lucky enough not to go through postpartum depression again, but with the ever-changing daily life and adjustment to having two small children, I wasn’t eating well and used food for stress relief, because, well…. being a stay-at-home parent, my options for stress relief are limited.
