Family, Food Trucks, and Fun

Hey there, fabulous readers! Can you believe it’s been a whole month already? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun family and food trucks!

I’ve been having such a blast that I almost forgot I was looking  forward to a slow and relaxing month.

But hey, who’s complaining when you’re surrounded by  amazing friends and family, right?

The highlight of this month has been counting down the days until J comes back home.

Every  day brings us one step closer to being reunited, and that’s a reason to celebrate!

Meanwhile, I’ve  been making the most of my time in the fantastic DC area.

Let me tell you, the food here is out of-this-world delicious!

Speaking of which, my Aunt T and Uncle R recently paid me a visit, and we had an absolute  blast exploring the city together. I must’ve walked at least 12 miles with them in a single day!

Sure, DC can be hot and humid, but the views of the monuments make it all worth it. And boy, did we laugh!

There was this hilarious incident with a snow cone food truck.

We were dying to  get a refreshing treat, but the truck disappeared just as we reached the front of the line! Talk about a letdown!

But we didn’t give up, and we stumbled upon another truck that saved the day.  Victory was ours, along with some pretty gnarly blisters from all that walking.

You see, I usually work from home, and with J being deployed, socializing has been scarce.

So, having friends and family come to visit has been an absolute blessing. It’s such a fantastic feeling  when they call and say they’re coming to town – it fills my heart with excitement and makes this deployment go by that much faster!

Guess what? The fun doesn’t stop there!

I’ve got my mom coming to visit in just a few days, and  after her stay, I’m jetting off to Mexico for an exciting wedding.

Life is a whirlwind of joy and  adventure, and I couldn’t be happier.

Stay tuned, my awesome readers, because the next adventures are just around the corner. I can’t  wait to share all the laughter, love, and memorable moments with you.

Until next time, keep  smiling, exploring, and making cherished memories, even when you are missing your service member! Catch you soon!
