It’s exciting to receive orders to Europe: the travel opportunities, the food, the culture. Europe offers so many new experiences. With the holiday season quickly approaching, Christmas markets are shifting into high gear. This is a magical time to be in Europe, especially Germany. Between the food, the fun, and the festivities, you really don’t want to miss it!
Remember how last month we chatted about our fans’ favorite Thanksgiving traditions? Well, now we are shifting gears and are ready to jump into some Holiday Hooah. That’s right, we are checking out some very cool milspouse Christmas traditions! So grab that cup of hot chocolate, snuggle up, and let’s make a list and check it twice—because these traditions are all super nice!
A holiday home sale, typically taking place from November through January, is a daunting process during a very busy friends-and-family season. But truly, there are ways to mitigate the disruption if a sale is a must.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget how many things we have to be thankful for when the hustle and bustle of life takes over, but these weeks leading up to the holidays give me pause.
November makes me get a bit more serious about gratitude. Why don’t I instill a daily ritual, reminding myself of the gifts I have every day? Did you know that gratitude can have lasting benefits for your health?
Maybe that will be my New Year’s resolution! For now, I’m happy to focus on giving thanks in anticipation of Turkey Day.
It was a beautiful day a couple of weeks ago, and I knew I was making a choice that would impact my whole day.
I knew it would be good, but I couldn’t have known how long the ripple effect would last. Maybe I still don’t know for sure how my choice made an impact that day.
November is usually the time of year when people consider all that they have to be thankful for. We begin to express our gratitude for the important people in our lives and all the things that make our lives enjoyable. With all the ups and downs that come with military life, we sometimes need to take a step back to find the positive and this time of year is the perfect time to do it.
When taking a deeper look, there are plenty of things to be thankful for in this military journey that civilian life just can’t provide.
One of my favorite parts of the milspouse life is hearing other peoples’ stories. The stories of the good times, the hard times, the times of triumphs, the dreams, and the hopes for the future. This premise is the basis of our Recon Rendezvous series—the tips, tricks, and experiences that make this milspouse life worth it (and so much more).
October is always a fun time of year for me. Within the last few years, I have started to consider the beginning of October the beginning of Halloween, rather than the holiday just being the last day of the month.
I know some people might find that silly, but I find that October, and Halloween in particular, means the start of fall—cooler days, warm drinks, and the family times and holidays that soon follow.
