MMP Show #972: “Know What You Signed Up For”

In “Know What You Signed Up For”, Megan helps military spouses see that we’re right where we’re supposed to be—chosen for this specific time and place.  This is written as a love letter to her younger self and to military spouses like her and to create a resource for future generations of military spouses because for her to encourage them to find themselves amongst their roles as military spouses.

Peel, Refresh, and Start Again

As I write this I am sitting at a local coffee shop sipping on a White Chocolate Pumpkin Mocha… because it’s fall and it has me in all the feels. I am attempting a refresh and all these cozy fall vibes reminded me of a beautiful quote by Ruth Ahmed as she watched the Autumn leaves fall and change color and said:

“There is something so special in the early leaves drifting from the trees–as if we are all to be allowed a chance to peel, to refresh, to start again.”

AWTR Show #935: Honor Bound, Word of Honor, Honor’s Refuge

Hallee Bridgeman had a hard time reading military novels because they were filled with assumptions that were wrong. So she wanted to give a realistic story about the military – to honor the military. She wanted to give the readers what it really is like and that is what she did with Honor Bound, Word of Honor, and Honor’s Refuge.

Combining her knowledge and experience of military life with a vast amount of research, USA Today bestselling author Hallee Bridgeman has crafted a new action-packed romantic suspense series that looks at the lives, loves, and struggles of three Special Forces A-Team officers. Bridgeman states, “It is my desire to honor those who have served with the characters that I create.” She successfully accomplishes her goal in her new Love and Honor series, which expertly intertwines three captivating stories.

Kathleen brings you this week’s Milspouse Empowerment Moment, where she talks about what makes a seasoned spouse, and get ready– things are about to get spicy! There are many things that makes up a seasoned spouse and Kathleen is here to share all about it.

Leap of Faith

My husband and I just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary this past weekend, and I couldn’t help but sit across from him at dinner and grin from ear to ear. My heart is full.   It only took three dates for him to ask me to marry him, of which my response was, “why...

You Sacrifice Too

I remember the first time a kind woman came up to my husband in uniform and thanked him for his service and sacrifice, and then turned to thank me too. We were in our second year of marriage, and I hadn’t yet heard that from a stranger. I was caught off guard – – taken aback that someone would turn to recognize me, just a normal woman standing by her serviceman’s side. I felt very undeserving.

I wasn’t the one in uniform.

I wasn’t the one sacrificing.

I wasn’t the one serving.
