“This doughnut won’t hurt.”
I know that one of the greatest joys of a parent is to watch their children having fun. But why just watch? Why not join in?
Let’s face it. We are all time-starved these days. Exercise often goes on the back burner. But exercise provides energy, the energy you need for all those activities on your plate. Exercise is crucial to your mood, health, and longevity.
I know that when your life is packed with activity, the thought of adding a workout into that schedule sounds impossible. For one thing, the word itself includes “work,” like one more chore. Here’s my idea.
It was April of 2010. We were going to a battalion ball, and I had on a gorgeous red dress. I had found it on clearance. It was strapless and totally different from my normal formal attire, but I decided to go for it! We had a fabulous time at the ball.

Happy New Year! I trust that everyone had the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. I had a chance to bring in the New Year spending the weekend with my 15-month-old grandson, rolling around on the floor. Good thing I’m in shape, because the little tank never stopped moving around. I’m sure many of you know the feeling. The beauty of being a grandparent is the kids get to go back to their mommy and daddy. I know, shame on me, but he’ll be back.
On this week’s empowering episode of Army Wife Talk Radio, we’re chatting with guest Lt. Gen. Patricia D. Horoho about the Army Surgeon General’s Performance Triad.
