Did you know… Mission: Milspouse published its 3000th blog post in 2023 and is still growing!
Fall is Here!
It’s the fall. How does this make you feel? Me personally? I love it. I love the cooler weather. I love the orange and yellow leaves. I love the new season. It feels like a new start. New school year, new job year, all that good stuff. It’s also scary...
New Year, New Plans
Tis the season to be making some growth (moves). As the New Year draws closer and closer, we all gear up to make New Year’s resolutions and map out personal goals for the year. It’s always so hard to classify each goal by priority and time length. I, personally, struggle with finding the right length of time for each goal, and laying the groundwork for a long-term goal.
What is Emotional Eating? Discerning our Hungers
With the hundreds of different diet plans and “healthy eating tips” about what to eat, and when, and why, it can be difficult to notice what kind of eating is normal and intuitive, and what is emotional eating.
An Open Letter To My Military Child
As I write this, tears are welling in my eyes. You, my military child, are 4. Where did my little guy go?

IRAs 101: Introduction to Individual Retirement Accounts
Individual retirement accounts (IRAs) are tax-advantaged investments intended to help you boost your retirement savings. Most types of investments can be registered as IRAs, including money market accounts, mutual funds, stocks and bonds. The two primary types of IRAs are traditional and Roth. Both are designed for long-term growth, but there are key differences, including how and when they are taxed. Here is a general overview of the two accounts and some suggestions on how to choose the one that’s right for you.
How the USO Supports MilFams This Holiday Season
The USO (United Service Organizations) has been dedicated to supporting service members and their families since 1941. While the USO has stood with military families since its inception, in 2016 it launched a worldwide initiative focusing on programs to strengthen and empower military spouses by connecting them to their social, professional, and community networks. Additionally, in recent years, the USO has bolstered its military family programming, offering a wide-range of options serving the entire military family.
In the Spirit of Giving
Within the traditions we share in this blog post, there are also those Army traditions to support our families and soldiers, especially during the holidays. As we approach the holiday season, celebrating in so many various ways, let’s not forget to reach out to those who may need a little extra support! This could be both on your current installation or in the surrounding community.
