This Holiday, Give One Priceless Gift of Life: Donate Blood
The holiday season is a time when we come together to celebrate with our loved ones and exchange special gifts. For many, there is one gift that means the most to those you never meet.
MyCAA Scholarship Available for Milspouses
One of the biggest obstacles for people looking to go back to school is funding. But that doesn’t necessarily need to be the case. There are plenty of scholarships available out there for many different people. In fact, the MyCAA program can provide military spouses up to $4,000 to advance their education.
Less than 20% of eligible candidates actually take advantage of the MyCAA program, which means thousands of dollars in scholarships go unclaimed. Don’t miss this opportunity!
The Backward PCS: Part 1
We all know that rocking this military spouse life is rewarding. It is an adventure. But you know what? Sometimes that adventure can daggum stress us out. I personally believe that a PCS can be one of the most stressful events of our military lives.
So much coordination, so few answers.
Dad Life
I’ve written several times now about my life as a mother—all the ups and downs and ins and outs that came with the arrival of my little boy last fall. But, there’s another person who is an absolutely indispensable part of the Reynolds “Baby Raising Team.” My husband. My child’s dad.
How to Understand and Maintain Your Credit
You’ve likely heard how important credit is when borrowing funds for a large purchase. It helps to think of it like this: They are a package deal, like tape to wrapping paper. If the tape isn’t strong, the wrapping paper won’t hold.
Creative examples aside, building and maintaining a strong credit score is one of the best financial moves you can make. Creditworthiness plays a vital role in any large purchase, and if you plan to make a major purchase in your lifetime, such as a vehicle or home, you’ll need to know what affects your credit and how to keep your credit in good standing.
6 Affordable Summer Activities
Here at Fort Knox, we have one week of school left. One week! I don’t think I’ve been this excited about summer break since I was a kid. I’m usually the parent who dreads summer break—the long weeks of having all the kids at home, no schedule, no daily routine, no extracurricular activities, the inevitable boredom, the hot temperatures. It is now time to plan some summer activities.
Handling Anger with AIMS
Dr. Leslie Morland was a guest on Army Wife Network Talk Radio recently and spoke about the Anger and Irritability Management Skills course created by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to assist veterans and service members with the transition from military to civilian life. She and her colleague, Dr. Carolyn Greene, also with VA, shared more about the course, its features, and who it benefits.
