Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I thought I would share a little activity we did last year which I intend to keep as a new family tradition: A Thankful Tree.
5 Reasons I Love Being a Military Spouse
I’m sure we’ve all had those times when we wonder, “Why do I live this lifestyle?” It’s difficult, and sometimes I just want to throw my hands up in the air and say, I’m done! I don’t want to do this anymore! Will you please get me out?! Then, I have days where I love the lifestyle and all the unique experiences I have because of the military.
Celebrating Military Miracle Moments
If you’ve been a military spouse for at least a few days, you probably know that this life is a little unpredictable. Somedays, it makes us happier than a 5-year-old at Christmas, then a few moments later, we crumble into big, smoldering pile of ugly-crying heartbreak. It can be exhausting, I tell you. In my personal journey as the spouse of my beloved infantryman, my emotions have stretched from enthusiastic optimistic to Debbie-Downer pessimistic of epic proportions.
A Year of Thanks: December
This is it, folks. It’s been exactly one year since I started giving thanks for one thing every single day. This all started because my son had a penchant for complaining. We talk all the time about what we’re thankful for, and writing this blog provided a lot of perspective.
It’s been a great year, and I look forward to seeing how 2015 develops.
A Year of Thanks: November
I can’t believe how fast this year has blown by. This is my favorite time of year, because everyone seems more giving, forgiving, and willing to give thanks. There’s something in the air. Recapping the year, you can check out January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October.
Thankful for the Military
This is the perfect time of year to let everyone know the things I’m thankful for. Being a military family, it seems like there’s more to worry about than gratitude, and some days I have to dig deep to find something. Today, I’m making a list of all the things that the military has given us to be thankful for.
A Year of Thanks: October
Yep. Still giving thanks every month. I can’t believe it either. I’ve had this going since January (February, March, April, May, June, July, August, and September, too), and I have two months left. It’s been a heck of a year, to say the least.
A Year of Thanks: September
Is it really October? I mean, How is that humanly possible, because I swear, I was just giving thanks for January yesterday.
Nine months of thankfuls down, only three to go. Missed previous months? I’ve got you covered: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, and August.
A Year of Thanks: August
August. August is a good month, mostly because it’s back to school for many kids and my birth month. I’ve a had a lot to be thankful for this month, and I’m going to narrow it down to 31 things.
