7 Military Spouse Goals for 2018

7 Military Spouse Goals for 2018

I don’t like Ne Year’s resolutions. A resolution is a firm decision to do or not do something and results in a black and white pass or fail. If our intention is to incite change in our lives, there has to be room for error, which is why I like the word “goals.” A goal is the object of a person’s ambition or effort, which means you achieve success every time you make forward progress.

107 Ideas for Intentional Living

107 Ideas for Intentional Living

What if you decided today to make intentional living your focus?

February tends to be that time of year when our thoughts inevitably turn toward love, romance, and relationships—and sometimes earlier, since most stores start putting out Valentine’s Day-themed merchandise before the Christmas stuff is even off the shelves.

4 Tips for Psychological Spring Cleaning

It’s finally spring! The snow is melting, the trees are budding, and the breeze actually has a hint of warmth in it. You know what that means: time to throw open the windows and air everything out! While I do plan on literally opening the windows and airing out my house—and have, in fact, had the windows open for the better part of a week—something else I have to do is air out my mind for a psychological spring cleaning.

The Green Dream

I think most of us have a certain “color” we look good wearing. My color is green. This revelation was rather odd to me, because green really isn’t my favorite color (Infantry blue, baby! #America). But, for some odd reason, green just works on me, and right now, we are in a season of spring. Things are fresh. New. Blossoming. Green. Unfortunately, my favorite shirt, husbands ACUs, and grass in the backyard aren’t the only things that are green in my life. Sometimes, my attitude is a bit green, leading to my green dream.

3 Resolutions I Won’t Be Keeping

3 Resolutions I Won’t Be Keeping

The new year has been rung in, and the resolutions are in full effect. I have made my resolutions for a better and improved Amanda in 2015. I have also made a list of resolutions I know I won’t be keeping. I would love to keep these wonderful resolutions, but I won’t, and that is perfectly and wonderfully okay.

Goal Setting 101

Goal Setting 101

I love being a Master Resilience Trainer. I’ve learned so much about myself and my actions. One of my favorite skills to teach is goal setting. I feel it’s important to have goals to push you forward. I always work better if I’m working to achieve something. My biggest goal last year was to graduate school, and I did it!
