7 Tips for Moving…Again

When you or your partner are on active duty, moving is unavoidable. The fact is, military couples and families have to move—a lot. It’s a part of this life. When you’ve moved multiple times within a few years and can only anticipate more Permanent Change of Stations in your future, learning all the ins-and-outs of moving can mean the difference between a stressful mess and relocation perfection. Domestic Violence Happens Here, Too

Domestic Violence Happens Here, Too

I’m currently pursuing my master’s in social work and had the privilege of doing a field placement with a local domestic violence agency working with domestic violence offenders. It was an eye-opening experience, to be certain, but also a very rewarding one. In my heart of hearts, I didn’t know how to react to the gift. I mean, yeah, sure, being a military spouse is a tough thing about 98% of the time, but it’s not like I’m getting deployed for a year at a time and carrying a rucksack on my back on a regular basis.
