We weren’t at that particular installation long. Just long enough to move in, for my husband to then be given unexpected orders to deploy for twelve months, and a couple of months after his return, we were on our way out.
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been asked over the years some derivation of “So when does he hit 20? I bet you’re ready for retirement,” I’d be a very rich woman.
As a college student, my life goes a mile a minute. I feel like I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off during the week, or I have little to do on the weekends. It’s an interesting balance to have.
